Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida Seminar
Explore the highlights from a special seminar hosted at Checkmat Temecula on April 25, 2024, featuring our guest instructor, Marcus Almeida, also known as Buchecha. Buchecha, a 2nd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, is a legendary figure in the sport. He is a multiple-time World Jiu-Jitsu and ADCC Submission Fighting champion and a member of the IBJJF Hall of Fame. During this seminar, he showcased some of the techniques he developed that helped him win multiple competitions, solidifying his status as the most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor. He also opened up with the students, answering questions about the mindset of a competitor and the determination needed to succeed in the sport.
Everyday Grappler
Everyday Grappler is a branding project where I served as the Creative Director and visionary. Partnering with Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Instructor Greg Mooney, we developed high-quality tutorials with the goal of creating a standout lifestyle brand. Conceived as a passion project, we aimed to elevate production value, setting “Everyday Grappler” apart from other brands in the industry. Although the project was temporarily placed on hold, it remains a testament to our vision and dedication.
